Testimony of the Prophets

The Living Christ

The Testimony of the Apostles

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

As we commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ two millennia ago, we offer our testimony of the reality of His matchless life and the infinite virtue of His great atoning sacrifice. None other has had so profound an influence upon all who have lived and will yet live upon the earth.
He was the Great Jehovah of the Old Testament, the Messiah of the New. Under the direction of His Father,He was the creator of the earth. “All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:3). Though sinless, He was baptized to fulfill all righteousness. He “went about doing good”(Acts 10:38), yet was despised for it. His gospel was a message of peace and goodwill. He entreated all to follow His example. He walked the roads of Palestine, healing the sick, causing the blind to see, and raising the dead. He taught the truths of eternity, the reality of our premortal existence, the purpose of our life on earth, and the potential for the sons and daughters of God in the life to come.
He instituted the sacrament as a reminder of His great atoning sacrifice. He was arrested and condemned on spurious charges, convicted to satisfy a mob, and sentenced to die on Calvary’s cross. He gave His life to atone for the sins of all mankind. His was a great vicarious gift in behalf of all who would ever live upon the earth.
We solemnly testify that His life, which is central to all human history, neither began in Bethlehem nor conclude don Calvary. He was the Firstborn of the Father, the Only Begotten Son in the flesh, the Redeemer of the world.
He rose from the grave to “become the first fruits of them that slept” (1 Corinthians 15:20). As Risen Lord, He visited among those He had loved in life. He also ministered among His “other sheep” (John 10:16) in ancient America. In the modern world, He and His Father appeared to the boy Joseph Smith, ushering in the long-promised “dispensation of the fullness of times” (Ephesians 1:10).
Of the Living Christ, the Prophet Joseph wrote: “His eyes were as a flame of fire; the hair of his head was white like the pure snow; his countenance shone above the brightness of the sun; and his voice was as the sound of the rushing of great waters, even the voice of Jehovah, saying:
“I am the first and the last; I am he who liveth, I am he who was slain; I am your advocate with the Father”(D&C 110:3–4).
Of Him the Prophet also declared: “And now, after the many testimonies which have been given of him, this is the testimony, last of all, which we give of him: That he lives!
“For we saw him, even on the right hand of God; and we heard the voice bearing record that he is the Only Begotten of the Father—
“That by him, and through him, and of him, the worlds are and were created, and the inhabitants thereof are begotten sons and daughters unto God” (D&C 76:22–24).
We declare in words of solemnity that His priesthood and His Church have been restored upon the earth—“built upon the foundation of . . . apostles and prophets,Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone”(Ephesians 2:20).
We testify that He will someday return to earth. “And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together” (Isaiah 40:5). He will rule as King of Kings and reign as Lord of Lords, and every knee shall bend and every tongue shall speak in worship before Him. Each of us will stand to be judged of Him according to our works and the desires of our hearts.
We bear testimony, as His duly ordained Apostles—that Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God.He is the great King Immanuel, who stands today on the right hand of His Father. He is the light, the life, and the hope of the world. His way is the path that leads to happiness in this life and eternal life in the world to come.God be thanked for the matchless gift of His divine Son.

My Testimony of Christ

I also wanted to share the testimony that I have of our savior Jesus Christ. I grew up a Christian, and have felt the spirit of the Lord in our home since I could remember. I am so grateful that I have always had that in my life, and the experiences that I've been able to gain because of it. I know that there is a church on the world today that is the Lord's church, and Christ is at the head of it. I know that Christ lives. I know that because of Christ we are able to receive forgiveness for our sins, and receive strength and healing from our wounds and our pains. I know that Christ is our savior, and that he died that we might live. I know that our savior was resurrected and overcame death, and we too one day will overcome our own deaths because of that great sacrifice and blessing that he gave us. I know that he lives today, and will one day return again to this Earth. Of this I testify in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.-Michelle

Testimony of Jesus Christ

I would also like to share my Testimony of Jesus Christ.

I know that Jesus Christ Lives. He is the Son of God. His and resurrection make it so we will all live again. His suffering for our sins in the Garden of Gesemane makes it possible that our sins may be forgiven.

I know that when we live our lives as he has taught, he will be there for us through the difficult times in our lives. He is the source of peace and in this world we live in is often the only source we may look to for peace in our lives.

It is as He taught, "If any man do His will he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God or whether I speak of myself." I have tested this statement and I do know for myself that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior of the world and that peace comes by following his Doctrine.

My Testimony of Jesus Christ

In compliance with the last wishes of my Grandmother before she passed away, (Thursday, April 12 2007), to help with the spreading of the gospel of Jesus Christ; I have creating this blog for those of faith to help promote the spreading of the "good news." The good news of which I speak is that Jesus Christ lives and has infinite love for us! This blog might start out with testimonies of family members, however I would like anybody of a sincere heart to post their convictions of Jesus Christ and any who have questions to post those as well. (A testimony is an outward expression of inner convictions comprised of feelings and experiences.)
I would like to start out with my testimony.
My testimony is that I know that Jesus Christ rose from death through the power of resurrection and that He lives today and is willing to manifest His power in our lives. I know that He loves us intensely and waits anxiously for the time when we will give our lives to Him, so He can bless us by giving us inner peace and happiness in the middle of this tumultuous world. His doctrine is so simple, a child lives it without even knowing. It is to love one another. To forgive all. To be submissive, meek, humble, patient, and full of grace and charity to all men. It is true that He taught other doctrines that must be fulfilled in order to live with Him again, such as faith, repentance, and baptism by water and fire; but if we will start at this fundamental principle, He will lead us in the proper direction and to the proper representatives. I know that Jesus Christ lives! Through Him I have found comfort and release from my sins and know He will remove all obstacles to my happiness as I continue to strive to be like Him. I know that His gospel is about love and family. I know that through His power my family is bound forever beyond the grave if we live as He has taught. What an indescribable peace comes over the soul who in Christ resides! He bought us with the price of His life and offers us a place with Him if we will learn to follow His teachings as best as we can. I leave this testimony with all, in the hallowed name of Jesus Christ.
